Carthage Veterinary Clinic is proud to serve the City of Carthage, Leake County, and the surrounding area for everything pet-related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Brook Bobo, who is a licensed, experienced veterinarian.

Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round.  Carthage Veterinary Clinic stays on top of the latest advances in veterinarian technology and above all, remembers that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery.

Amanda

Amanda Parker was born & raised in Alabama, but has been a Leake County resident since 2010. Amanda graduated from Hinds Community College with a degree in veterinary technology in July 2016. She is a state & nationally certified vet tech, but as well as being a vet tech, she is also our receptionist. She helps out as a tech when needed but she uses her gift in administrative skills to fulfill her role as the receptionist.
She currently resides in Freeny with her husband, Taylor, & their 3 daughters, Bailey, Adalyn, & Emmie Claire. They are members of Pine Grove Church of God in Edinburg, MS where Taylor serves as the youth minister. Taylor is also the DUI enforcer for the Carthage Police Dept. They have 2 cats (Barbie Girl & Baby Kitty), 4 dogs (Abbie Gail, Dixie, Dallas, & Millie), & 2 goats (Ginger & Rio).

Kayla

Kayla Watkins, our Veterinary Technician, is a graduate of Pelahatchie High School. She’s been a resident of Leake County for almost 5 years and has over 6 years experience working with small and large animals. From the time she was a child, she’s always had dogs and horses in her life. She lives in Lena with her stepson Lane and husband, Jonathan Watkins, who is a long time resident of Leake County and a lineman of 15 years. They own an American Bully named Nova (who is pictured with Kayla), and an American Quarter Horse named Doss. In Kayla’s spare time away from the clinic, she enjoys being at the barn, going to barrel races, and being on the water in the boat.

Kari

Kari Freeny McGee, our groomer, graduated from Carthage High School. She went on to get her bachelors degree in Music Business, but decided that her passion was more for animals. She's been grooming for over 5 years now. She is the founder & president of our local 501c3 non-profit rescue organization, Remo's Rescue. Be sure to like them on facebook! They depend solely on donations & fosters. From Leake & surrounding counties, they have saved & rehomed over 600 dogs. The majority of them are adopted out through other rescue organizations located in the northeastern US. Kari was raised in Carthage & now resides in Madden with her husband, Zach, & their daughter, Izzie.

Beth

Beth Davidson is one of the two kennel technicians that we have on staff here at CVC. Beth has over a year & a half experience in the veterinary field, but her life has always been surrounded by animals, both small & large. Beth is the daughter of Jon & Amanda Davidson & she has a little brother, Nate. Her family together owns a farm of 8 dogs, 2 cats, 4 chicken houses, & about 100 head of cattle. Beth also just started her senior year at Sebastopol Attendance Center. After she graduates, she plans to attend Mississippi State University to pursue her own dreams of becoming a veterinarian. When she isn’t at work or at home, she is representing her school as the cheer mascot, Bobby the Bobcat, & keeping stats for the Sebastopol baseball team.

Alivia

Alivia Bobo is one of the two kennel technicians we have here at Carthage Veterinary Clinic. She is the little sister of Dr. Bobo. Animals, especially horses, has always been a big part of her life. She owns 3 dogs, Buster, Polly, & Dally & she has a horse named Harley. Alivia is a senior at Leake Academy. After she graduates, she plans to attend East Central Community College for two years & then move on to Mississippi State University. She will pursue her dreams of becoming a veterinarian, like her brother, then she will further her education in equine medicine. When she isn't at home or at work, her hobbies include competing in barrel racings & 3DOT cattle sorting.
